Foundation inspiration:

On 18.01.2021, the establishment of the VILDANA Foundation, with its domicile in Neuenhof AG – Switzerland and the commercial register number CH-400.7.448.634-5 was approved.

This foundation called after Vildana, an ambitious young woman of Kosovar origin and grown up in St. Gallen, who was known for her humanitarian character carrying for her family and providing a social contribution to students by supporting them with financial means during their education. Vildana passed away at the young age of 30, but her will and effort to provide humanitarian aid is deeply rooted in the foundation’s vision and purpose. With these values, VILDANA-Foundation was founded in 2021 by her family members and their friends.

The aim of the Foundation is to provide scholarships to talented students in the Albanian-speaking region (especially in Kosovo, Albania and Northern Macedonia). This foundation aims to provide financial support by covering tuition fees and sponsoring students from educational institutions regardless of age, qualification, religious and/or cultural background in the above-mentioned regions.

To ensure that talented students do not drop out of their studies due to financial difficulties and can fully concentrate on their studies, ambitions and visions, the VILDANA Foundation is committed to supporting students with financial difficulties.

Ambitions of the VILDANA-Foundation:

This foundation aims to support talented, creative and ambitious students with diverse skills who want to change the world, positively impact society, develop themselves and champion civic values and professionalism.

The official website of the Foundation has been published in three languages: Albanian, English and German: www.vildana-foundation.ch. It contains information on the Foundation’s goals, vision, members, as well as instructions and opportunities to apply for a scholarship or make contributions Donations through defined criteria and procedures where everyone’s interest and contribution is welcome.

The VILDANA Foundation will support talented students from various fields who show very high progress and achievement and promise to contribute to society through the development Creativity, innovation, ambition, vision, discipline, sincerity, energy, determination, commitment, willpower, professional ethics and student ideas need a voice to help them create a worthy perspective that will help them integrate into the job market. This voice is represented by the VILDANA Foundation, which was established with the humanitarian spirit of a diaspora group from Switzerland.

About the foundation

The VILDANA-Foundation with the Chairman of the Board of Trustees Driton Thaqi is registered in the Swiss Commercial Register and has in its structure and board professionals from different sectors living and working in Switzerland, who have voluntarily established the non-profit foundation and run it free of charge. The following foundation board members are registered in the commercial register: Biqkaj Irfan, Bunjaku Naser, Bushi Liman, Dullovi Nusret, Dullovi Agron, Kadolli Brahim, Kajtazi Tefik, Krasniqi Ragip, Krasniqi Shkelzen, Kunushevci Labinot, Latifi Besim, Muharemi Remzi, Robeli Lulzim, Rogaqi Mendu, Sejdiji Merdzan, Thaqi Driton, Thaqi Jeton, Thaqi Naim, Thaqi Shpend, Usejni Albion, Zeqiri Blerim, Zeqiri Urim. The Foundation works with the coordinator and professional representative Labinot Kunushevci in Kosovo, Albania and Northern Macedonia.

The motto of VILDANA-Foundation follows the saying of the Albanian writer Sami Frashëri:

“If you want to plant for one year, plant maize and wheat, if you want to plant for 100 years, plant education and culture.”
